Search for MTM Advocates Continues With Celebration Banquet in Alabama

A delightful and informative evening was enjoyed by each of the persons who recently attended the MTM Celebration Banquet in Birmingham, AL. The Brookwood Baptist Church served as the gracious host for the meeting designed to build the MTM Advocate base.

Similarities to other Celebration Banquets included: table hosts invited interested persons, testimonies were shared, a delicious meal was enjoyed and a call for involvement was issued.

Following the meal, Janet Noyes, a new MTM Trustee, sang old and new favorite hymns and songs.

Janet Anthony, former staff minister in Tennessee, shared her experience of dealing with the loss of her job. Stan Prewitt, now living in Birmingham, shared his story. Each story is similar. Each story is different and personal. Both expressed appreciation for MTM’s helping and healing response through the Wellness Retreats they attended.

Dr. Roger Lovette, MTM Trustee and a Baptist pastor in Birmingham, issued a challenge to those in attendance to support this ministry through prayer, sharing information about MTM’s ministry and financial support which sustains the ministry and provides scholarships for most participants attending the retreats.

The meeting closed with Dr. Charles Chandler, MTM Founder and Executive Director, sharing his heart for men and women terminated in ministry, which gave birth to our organization, Ministering to Ministers.
