Offering C.A.R.E. for Clergy

Communicating…

The Education and Communication Division informs Clergy, churches and denominations concerning possibilities for improved church-minister relations through building strong initial foundations, healthy dispute resolutions, mediation, and informational resources through the website and newsletters.

Advocating…

The Dispute Resolution Division develops church-minister covenants which outline procedures in the event of separation. These covenants are adopted by ministers and churches as tenures begin. It also offers resources for negotiation on behalf of the minister when work continuation is not possible.

Reclaiming…

The Personal Wellness Division offers spiritual and emotional support for ministers and spouses. From Healthy Transitions Wellness Retreats for Ministers and Spouses, suggestions for counseling, a friend to “walk” with ministers during church conflict, and physical fitness encouragement, the Foundation offers a network of recovery assistance programs.

Equipping…

The Assistance Division encourages ministers who experience involuntary separation: to identify and assess their sources of support; to define their sense of “call” and direction, perhaps to a more specialized ministry position; to explore their experience and skills in order to clarify their marketable, transferable, work skills; and to help them to develop temporary as well as long term plans.
