We are a minister’s

Helping Hand

As a minister, you have a calling to evangelize, teach, serve your church and community in times of difficulty stress, and crisis.

But what happens when you’re struggling with these issues in your personal or professional life? What do you do when you’re involuntarily separated from your church, losing your livelihood, community, home, and your sense of “call” and direction?

It’s better not to wait until the full impact of polarizing church conflict or the devastation of a forced termination to contact MTM. We offer resources to help clergy facing turmoil or those in crisis be better equipped to find healthy resolutions, whether it’s staying in their present ministry position or making a healthy transition.

MTM offers resources to help ministers rediscover joy and greater effectiveness in ministry. Call (804) 594-2556, or email us mtm@mtmfoundation.org today!

THE HISTORY OF MTM

In 1994, a group of ministers who’d gone through forced termination along with interested laypeople joined to form Ministering to Ministers as a non-profit foundation to serve clergy in crisis. MTM offers HOPE for ministers and their families in all faith groups who are experiencing tough employment-related situations through intervention and renewal; MTM offers HELP through health and wellness promotion, including counsel, prayer, and support.

The centerpiece of our ministry is the 4-5 day Healthy Transitions Wellness Retreats for Ministers and Spouses. Through your donations, we are able to offer scholarships to all who attend so no one is left out. in the second quarter of 2019 we will begin a series of workshops which will focus on topics for prevention – to help keep ministers healthy emotionally, spiritually, physically, and financially.

MORE ABOUT US

MTM offers spiritual and emotional support, encourages good physical health to speed recovery from emotional and spiritual trauma, and helps clergy identify and clarify marketable, transferable work skills which can help lead to temporary employment.

MTM is a non-denominational organization financed through gifts from individuals, businesses, churches, denominations, and foundations, and is strengthened by your prayers.

I thank God for Ministering to Ministers, whose help came at precisely the right moment and opened my eyes to the first steps that have led me on this incredible journey.
