Dr. David A. Myers is a native Mississippian and a graduate of Mississippi College. He also earned the Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, Kentucky. After serving in pastoral roles in Mississippi, Kentucky, and South Carolina, he worked with two associations of Baptist Churches, recently retiring after 29 years as the Executive Director of Missions for Hamilton Baptist Association comprised of 107 churches in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area. Dr. Myers has served on the Board of Trustees of the Ministering to Ministers Foundation since 1997. He has led or assisted in leadership with more than 30 intense, five-day, Healthy Transitions Wellness Retreats for Ministers and Spouses, as well as walked with scores of ministers and spouses during extremely dark and traumatic periods in their lives as they traveled the long journey toward healing. He and his wife, Brenda, have two adult children and five grandchildren.
